Marblehead

A coastal community of over 20,000 residents located 15 miles north of Boston, Marblehead is famous for its unsurpassed contributions to the American Revolution and Civil War. Today, its quaint narrow streets and historic 17th and 18th century buildings mirror Marblehead as it has existed since its founding in 1629. The town has been appropriately named “Yachting Capital of the World” and hosts a mid-summer race week that dates back to 1889 as well as an annual race between Halifax, Nova Scotia, and Marblehead which began in 1905.

Marblehead has a strong school system with eight public schools within the community and one charter school. Commuting into Boston is easily accessible through the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA) bus and commuter rail with stations in Swampscott and Salem.
